Hamlet Henry Douglas Jr., known to his friends as "Hank", was born in Washington, D.C. in 1948. He graduated from McKinley Tech H.S., and Howard University. It was during this time at Howard that he enrolled in a photography course and became fascinated with the creative possibilities of the art. In spite of spending the last 30+ years in the automotive field, he continues to find a creative outlet with his camera. His preferred subjects are nature, and the mechanical form.   Hank's portfolio, BIO.

Bruce Fagin is a native Washingtonian educated in the public schools and he began using a camera as part of his art education at Howard University. Taking pictures has been a hobby ever since.

“While using my camera as a means of recording personal history and other images of interest, I became aware of the photograph as art itself. This is not a new idea, but this concept helped me move beyond photography as a recording of events, memories and portraits to seeing the world through my lens as if I were choosing elements for a painting.”

“What’s important for me now is how my pictures capture color, light and form. I am fascinated by how the everyday world, from broken glass in the street to a sunset sky, can inspire and take on a new meaning far beyond its ordinary appearance. A world of inspiration unfolds every minute of every day. I want to try and capture these moments of pure magic and express with my camera the awe I feel when I stop, look, listen and find the beauty in the world.”

Leon James, was born in Washington DC in 1948.  A local photographer, he sees himself as a wandering visual chronicler, capturing and cataloging images that stir the imagination.  He is moved to photograph objects and vistas to share the color, texture and form of what he sees.  Along with the work of James Van Der Zee, he has found inspiration in the images of Ansel Adams nature photography.  He plans to someday publish a book of photographs.  He sees life as a photographic walkabout.
