| Perspective Visions are the collective
photographs of four DC born, raised and still living black baby
boomers. It is interesting
that we all were drawn to the image as a means of expressing
ourselves. We all picked up the camera and for all intent
and purpose, we never put it down. Our last photo show was
more than thirteen years ago. We're a little older and
hopefully wiser. We've all had an opportunity to evolve
our craft and sharpen (for some of us) our be speckled
photographic eyes.
Hank, Bruce, Ed and myself are
the remnants of Z GROUP Photography which we created at our last
showing.
The "Z" was adopted in honor of photographer James Van Der Zee, Harlem, New York craftsman and acknowledged practical and artistic master of what we do. Van Der
Zee was present at the so-named "Harlem Renaissance" - in fact,
he is now largely acknowledged as photographer-of -record of the
era.
For your enjoyment, and in the spirit of photographic art, we
take this opportunity to share our view of the world through the
images born of the lens.
